Enpass on Apple Watch

Using Enpass on an Apple Watch

Enpass can share select Items Items with your Apple Watch for easy access.

To install Enpass on an Apple Watch:

  1. In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch.

  2. Scroll down to find the Enpass app.

  3. Tap Install.

  4. Turn on the Show App on Apple Watch option.

To enable Enpass on an Apple Watch:

  1. Pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone.

  2. In Enpass on your iPhone, go to Settings > Apple Watch, and turn on the Enable Apple Watch option.

  3. For maximum security, we recommend also setting a PIN to unlock the Enpass App on your watch.

For Enpass Items that generate one-time authentication codes, on this screen you can also restrict Enpass for Apple Watch to show only that code, and no other account information.

To add an Enpass Item to an Apple Watch:

  1. In Enpass on your iPhone, select an Item you want to appear on your watch.

  2. At the bottom of the Item Details view, tap Add to Watch.

To see a list of Items added to your watch:

  • In Enpass on your iPhone, go to Settings > Apple Watch.

Additional security

Enpass for the Apple Watch works through the iPhone to which it is paired. It communicates securely only with that device over Bluetooth using Apple Watchkit.

Only Items added to your Apple Watch from the Enpass app on your iPhone will be accessible on your watch. On your watch, these Items are not locked by your Master Password, so they are not as secure as Items in the Enpass app on your phone or computer. However, they are protected by the watchOS system, and cannot be digitally copied from your phone.

For additional security, we recommended:

  • Setting a PIN code for Enpass on your watch

  • Use Enpass on your watch mostly for authentication codes or frequently used short-code Items like locker combinations
