Security in iOS when unlocking with Face ID or Touch ID
When you turn on the Touch ID option in your Enpass settings, Enpass stores an encrypted version of your Master Password in the iOS Keychain. It can only be accessed by Enpass, and only when you attempt to unlock Enpass though Touch ID.
After five consecutive unsuccessful attempts to unlock Enpass with Touch ID, the Keychain copy of your Master Password is erased, and the Master Password will be required to unlock Enpass. Once unlocked, your Master Password is saved again to the iOS Keychain.
If you turn off Touch ID in your Enpass settings, Enpass erases the Master Password from the iOS Keychain, and the Master Password will be required for all attempts to unlock Enpass.
(You can read more details about this security in the Enpass security white paper).

Security in Android when unlocking Enpass with biometrics
When you activate biometrics in your Enpass settings on Android, Enpass stores an encrypted version of your Master Password in the Android Keystore. It can only be accessed by Enpass, and only when you attempt to unlock Enpass though face or fingerprint recognition.
When new fingerprints are to your device biometrics, the Keystore copy of your Master Password is erased, and the Master Password will be required to unlock Enpass one time. Once unlocked, your Master Password is saved again to the Android Keystore.
If you turn off biometrics in your Enpass settings, Enpass erases the Master Password from the Android Keystore, and the Master Password will be required for all attempts to unlock Enpass.
(You can read more details about this security in the Enpass security white paper).
