Unlocking Enpass with biometrics
Enpass can be unlocked using face or fingerprint recognition on devices that support biometric identification like Touch ID on Mac and iOS, and Windows Hello on Windows.
Mobile versions of Enpass, and Enpass desktop apps downloaded from the Mac App Store Store and Microsoft Store, can be unlocked with biometrics any time. Desktop versions downloaded directly from Enpass.io require a password when launched, then can be unlocked with face or fingerprint while running in the background on your device.
After making changes to your device's biometrics (for example, adding a new fingerprint), you may need to re-enable biometrics in Enpass.
To enable biometrics in Enpass for Mac or Windows:
-
Go to Settings > Security.
-
Under Quick Unlock, select Touch ID (Mac) or Windows Hello (Windows).
To enable biometrics in Enpass for iOS:
-
Go to Settings > Security.
-
Under Auto Locking, select Touch ID/Face ID.
To enable biometrics in Enpass for Android:
-
Go to Settings > Security.
-
Select the Biometrics checkbox, and confirm your face or fingerprint.
