Sync timing, time stamps and security in Enpass

Enpass keeps your data secure and in sync so your vaults area always safe and up-to-date.

Enpass syncs your data...

Every time the app is unlocked
Every 15 seconds when the Enpass app is active in the foreground on your mobile device
Every 10 minutes when the Enpass app is running on your desktop
Within 5 seconds every time you save a change

Each sync is time-stamped, and you can check your sync status any time:

Go to Settings > Vaults, and select the vault you want to check.
Under the heading Last Synchronized, you will find the time stamp of the most recent sync.

Security of data while syncing with a cloud

When Enpass syncs a vault via a cloud account, the cloud is used only for storage of encrypted data.
Enpass does not perform any encryption or decryption on the cloud.
To sync and merge changes, Enpass downloads the entire encrypted vault and decrypts it locally, on your device
After completing the sync, Enpass uploads the encrypted vault back to the cloud.
