Google "Access blocked" or "App is blocked" error when connecting Enpass to Google Drive

When setting up Enpass Business with a Google Workspace account, you may run into a prompt from Google stating "Access blocked" or "App is blocked by your admin".

Why am I seeing this message?

Your IT team may have restricted third-party app access in your organization's Google Workspace. To create Enpass vaults on Google Drive, you may need an administrator to configure and trust the Enpass application in the Google Admin Console.

  • If the message you see includes a Request access option, click it to notify your admin that you need access.

  • If the message does not include that option, contact your admin to request access.

Tip: You can share the following message with your admin: "I need access to the Enpass password manager app to store my encrypted vaults on Google Drive. Please configure Enpass as a trusted third-party app in Google Workspace Admin Console. The admin setup guide is available here: Add Enpass to Google Workspace."

What does the admin need to do?

The admin needs to configure Enpass as a trusted third-party app in your organization's Google Workspace Admin Console. This involves adding the Enpass OAuth Client ID and setting its access level to Trusted.

For the complete step-by-step guide, see Add Enpass to Google Workspace.

Once this process is complete, users should be able to connect to Google Drive with Enpass.
