The Enpass App Usage Overview section of the dashboard shows how users in the Using Enpass stage are engaging with key product features. These metrics help you understand whether Enpass is becoming a genuine part of users' daily workflows — not just an app that was installed and forgotten.
The Three Feature Adoption Metrics
Added Items
Shows how many users have added at least one item beyond the default sample items that come pre-loaded in a new vault.
A user who has added items has made a deliberate choice to store their own data in Enpass. This is the first meaningful signal of real adoption. Users who have not yet added items may need guidance on what to store and how to get started.
Pending state: No specific pending link — use the Usage Pending count in the Onboarding Overview to identify this group.
Connected Browser Extension
Shows how many users have paired Enpass with their browser extension and have been active at least once during the selected time period.
The browser extension is what makes Enpass useful for everyday web logins. Users who haven't connected it are missing the primary workflow that makes a password manager valuable at work.
Pending state: A Browser Extension Connection Pending count is shown for users who haven't completed this step. Click it to view and contact those users.
Using Autofill
Shows how many users have used the autofill feature at least once — either through the browser extension on desktop or through the native autofill on mobile.
Autofill usage is the strongest indicator of deep adoption. When users autofill their credentials, Enpass is integrated into how they actually authenticate day-to-day. Low autofill numbers, even with high item-added counts, suggest users are looking up passwords manually rather than letting Enpass do the work.
Pending state: An Autofill Usage Pending count is shown for users who haven't used this feature. Click it to view and contact those users.
How to Interpret These Metrics Together
|
Scenario |
What It Suggests |
Recommended Action |
|---|---|---|
|
Low Added Items |
Users don't know what to store or how to start |
Share a quick-start guide; run a short onboarding session |
|
Items added, but low Browser Extension |
Users are using the app but not the browser integration |
Send setup instructions for the browser extension |
|
Extension connected, but low Autofill |
Users aren't letting Enpass fill credentials automatically |
Share a short demo or tip on enabling and trusting autofill |
|
All three metrics are high |
Strong adoption — Enpass is embedded in daily workflows |
Celebrate progress; monitor for any dips over time |
Tips
-
Review these metrics weekly during the first 60 days of deployment.
-
Autofill adoption often lags behind the others — it sometimes takes users a few weeks to trust and rely on autofill. Patience and gentle nudges go a long way.
-
Use the pending counts as a prioritized action list, not just a status report.
→ See Sending & Tracking Reminder Emails to follow up with users in any pending group.
