This page covers how to install Enpass Password Manager on Android devices, configure it for your organization, and deploy it at scale using a UEM/MDM platform.
Manual Installation
For unmanaged environments or individual installs:
-
Open the Enpass listing on the Google Play Store.
-
Tap Install.
-
Tap Open to launch the app.
Alternatively, visit enpass.io/downloads and follow the link to the Play Store.
App Configuration
Before deploying Enpass, administrators can pre-configure the application by pushing managed configuration keys from your MDM. These are applied when the app is first launched on the user's device.
The following keys should be set:
|
Key |
Value |
|---|---|
|
|
|
|
|
Dynamic variable mapped to user's email address |
The exact method for setting managed app configuration keys varies by UEM platform. Refer to your UEM's documentation for how to push Android managed configurations.
For a full description of all supported keys, see the App Configuration Keys Reference.
Deploying via UEM/MDM
For managed environments, deployment involves adding Enpass as a managed Android app via your UEM's Google Play connector and attaching a managed configuration.
General steps for any UEM/MDM platform:
-
Connect your UEM to Managed Google Play and approve the Enpass app (
io.enpass.app). -
Add Enpass as a managed app in your UEM console.
-
Create a managed app configuration and set the
policy-enforcedandpolicy-emailkeys, substituting the appropriate dynamic email variable for your platform. -
Assign both the app and the configuration to the appropriate user or device groups.
